Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day is a statewide campaign uniting hundreds of nonprofits dedicated to getting more kids in the game. Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day is a collaborative effort between The Daniels Fund, Aspen Institute’s Project Play Colorado, many sponsors, and hundreds of nonprofit organizations supporting youth sports throughout the state.
After raising nearly $9 million in its first two years, this powerful initiative returns Sept. 1–15, 2026, giving youth organizations like ours the chance to raise vital funds and build momentum for youth sports across Colorado. More than $1.5 million in matching and incentive funds will boost every dollar donated to participating nonprofits.
New this year, donations made through a donor-advised fund (DAF), IRA rollover or wire transfer will unlock its own dollar-for-dollar match from the brand-new America250 Fund — a $250,000 dollar-for-dollar match just for donors giving online with DAF, IRA or wire contributions.
To date, Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day has engaged more than 240 nonprofit organizations across the state to help support youth sports. The campaign has helped purchase equipment and uniforms, grow programming and support new facilities in new communities.
Positive sports experiences help develop the whole child and lead to success as an adult. Your donation will directly support new equipment and accessible athletics programming at Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County.
Organized sports transform lives, and this campaign is a chance for all Coloradans to invest in our youth. Your donations ensure children statewide can experience the lifelong benefits of athletics.
