Wheels of Opportunity: Expanding Horizons for Kep Expeditions Programs

The Wheels of Opportunity Campaign is a crucial fundraising initiative dedicated to removing the physical barriers that currently limit participation in Kep Expeditions Programs. Our mission is to ensure that the transformative power of Rocky Mountain adventure is accessible to everyone, regardless of mobility challenges.

Kep Expeditions currently offers life-changing outdoor experiences, but our capacity to serve participants with disabilities is severely limited by a lack of appropriate transportation. Many of our current vehicles are not equipped to safely and comfortably transport individuals who rely on wheelchairs or mobility devices.

The Goal:

The campaign's primary goal is to acquire a fleet of ADA-compliant vehicles, including specialized vans and buses, equipped with reliable lifts, tie-downs, and enhanced accessibility features.

Why This Matters:

• Equal Access: This initiative transforms a dream of adventure into a reality for individuals who have been excluded from traditional outdoor programs due to logistical constraints.

• Empowerment: Accessible transportation is the first step to independence. By providing reliable passage, we empower participants to explore the rugged beauty of the mountains and engage fully in our therapeutic and educational programs.

• Program Expansion: New vehicles will allow Kep Expeditions to expand its reach, serve more people, and create new, specialized itineraries for adaptive recreation, including accessible hiking, camping, and climbing sites.
