Back in high school, I had the incredible luck of being part of MCA Denver’s Teen Ambassador program. It was the first place contemporary art actually came alive for me - a place where I could meet artists, ask the big, weird questions, make things, and spend time in a community that felt endlessly curious, creative, and welcoming. It gave me a foundational understanding of just how powerful, eye-opening and imperative diverse perspectives can be. 

Now, working at MCA feels like a full-circle moment. I get to support the museum in a new way and help spark the same magic it did for me as a teen. Art has always fueled my creativity, connected me to people I never would’ve met otherwise, and reminded me to see the world a little differently. Honestly, I even make it a point to visit contemporary art museums when I travel - because nothing reminds me how wildly powerful art can be for opening minds, bringing people together, and shaking up perspectives.

Here’s the thing: creativity matters now more than ever. Museums are more than buildings- they’re safe, inclusive, and healing spaces. They are where culture is created, where cities flourish. They are where humans can find meaning, connection. MCA is one of those spaces, a place where everyone can explore, get inspired, and celebrate the messy, beautiful human experience together.
