Help fund Birdseed Collective's Globeville Healthy Food Program in this time of great need.
Recent and ongoing federal and state funding cuts have hit our free food distribution program hard, while the number of people in need keeps growing. Food costs have increased as well, adding to the costs of providing our services to the community.
Our team is hard at work finding and applying for grant funding, but most grant cycles and award distributions take months, if awarded. Hunger is a year-round challenge that exists during and between grant cycles and awards, and that's where generous donations become so vital.
Donations from the community and local businesses help fill funding gaps and help us maintain financial and operational stability in our services.
Our goal for this fundraising campaign is to raise $25,000 to support the Globeville Healthy Food Program.
These funds would pay for 500 fresh food boxes that include a variety of healthy foods, including fresh produce (e.g. cabbage, peppers, squash, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, onions), food staples (e.g. bread, rice, beans, lentils), meats, and prepared meals (cold/hot, depending on availability).
Imagine what a one-time or recurring donation could do:
$50 donation would help feed a family for a week!
$200 donation would help feed a family for a month!
$1,200 donation would help feed a family for six months!
$2,400 donation would help feed a family for a year!
Generous donations go a long way to providing food security for those most in need. Food security benefits the community in so many ways: reduced poverty and economic hardship, improved health outcomes, economic benefits, stronger communities, increased productivity, and reduced healthcare costs.
Please help Birdseed Collective provide food security to people in need, and donate to our fundraiser to benefit the Globeville Healthy Food Program!
Through generous giving, Together we can feed the hungry and benefit the community in so many ways!
