The mission of Leadership Montezuma is to cultivate a diverse cohort of emerging leaders from various backgrounds, occupations, and cultures to foster learning and forge strong connections with the many sectors of our community.

Leadership Montezuma provides:

Two-year program

Year one - Learner -  The program consists of nine (9) once-a-month, full-day sessions between September to May annually.  Participants will gather for one day each month. In addition to the 9 programming days, there will be kickoff and graduation events participants will attend.

Year two - Planner -  Learners from the prior year will then become planners for the upcoming cohort responsible for creating the sessions for the incoming cohort.

Days are focused on industries and sectors within Montezuma County, such as health care, education, local business, and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe.

This program is designed to promote engaged and informed community leaders, as well as expand our citizen’s understanding of community resources, organizations, and systems.
