Dear friends and family,

Happy Holidays from me and my little pack of Lucky Day hounds!

Faces are graying up here and I am grateful for every day I have with these little clowns who each have their own crazy story of how they came to be with me.

I am thankful for the last 10 years with Lucky Day. Unbelievable! I have learned so much about hard work and compassion and empathy. How to keep moving forward when you want to collapse from sadness and exhaustion. And the joy that each success story brings.

Shelters and rescues are in crisis. There is no "how can we?" only "how can we not?" So we keep at it knowing each life we help does make a difference.

Because we were able to start 2023 with a strong financial foundation from Colorado Gives 2022, we hit the ground running.

We were able to take in almost 150 animals, some with special needs and medical conditions, partner with more spay and neuter groups (we are now over 10,000 surgeries!), and begin a Lucky Day Veterinary Technician scholarship right here at Spring Valley Colorado Mountain College! I was able to tour their facility recently and I wanted to go back to school!

Lucky Day is doing amazing things for animals and people and this work has changed my life forever.

We had the honor of a donor contributing the time and expense for "Narr8" to provide us with a professional video! We are excited to share our story in this meaningful way! Colorado Gives Day 2023 is December 5th. Your donations between November 1 and the event day go even further with the help of their incentive fund. I would be so grateful and honored for your continued support.
