Arbor Valley Nursery has served Colorado since 1980, when founders and plant lovers Roy and Dave Edmundson saw a need in the market for locally grown trees that would thrive in our Colorado climate.
For the past four years, Arbor Valley's Brighton team has competed in Colorado's Tough Mudder, a hardcore obstacle courses designed to test their all around strength, stamina, and mental grit, and most importantly, bring them closer together as a team. This year, with a team of 30, they wanted to make their competition even more special by raising money for a local nonprofit and fellow plant-loving organization: The Park People.
The Park People is a Denver nonprofit that works with communities to plant trees and improve parks for a healthy, resilient future. The Park People is best known for its Denver Digs Trees program, an annual tree distribution that provides free and low-cost trees to Denver residents, where more than 65% of trees are planted in low-canopy neighborhoods. The Park People's other programs include: Community Forester, TreeForce, Park Legacy, and Mile High Tree Champions.
