Affordable Art for All

Wildfire Community Arts Center has been fortunate to offer several no- and low-cost art programs each year. 

AFTER-SCHOOL ART CLUB

During the academic school year, we offer weekly after-school art programming for ages 5-12. Participating students enjoy an hour in the studio making arts and crafts while meeting new friends with a shared interest. While our studio space is small with a maximum of ten students, we have filled this program to capacity for the entirety of 2022.  The fall of 2023 session was filled within 3 weeks of registration opening.  With the abundance of interest, we have expanded to two different sessions that meet weekly allowing more youth to take advantage of the program. 

U-CREATE OPEN STUDIOS

On Saturdays from October through May, we host U-Create Open Studios. This program is open to all ages allowing participants to explore different mediums in a fully equipped art studio space.  In spring 2023, we had multiple sessions with 8-10 students ranging in age from 4 years to 84 years.  Some participants bring a project with them to work in a welcoming space and use materials they may not have at home. Others enjoy the time and space to try new techniques and mediums. 

ART IN THE PARK

In the summer months Wildfire take the art experience outdoors to offer Art in the Park in conjunction with weekly Berthoud's Fickel Farmer’s Market. This program provides a free guided art project for all ages utilizing recycled supplies and items from nature.

Wildfire seeks grants and donor funding to keep these programs running. In addition to supply expenses, each program has qualified teachers and assistants that are compensated for their time.  We are fortunate to have received a $5,000 contribution from the Northern Colorado Community Foundation; however we are seeking donations to assist in making up the $9,767 needed to continue these four programs.
