The Art Garage Turns Ten!

Ten years ago artist, Barb McKee, invited a small group of friends to create The Art Garage as a nonprofit. The group hired Katie Moran, fresh from the Peace Corp, to be the executive director. And the rest is history! The Art Garage is now a thriving nonprofit, having added Abi Ostendorf as a co-director in 2020. It is a vibrant community gem that brings art to the community, inspiring and empowering creativity in everyone it touches. The Art Garage has grown beyond its iconic midcentury modern garage location, offering classes in local schools and organizations, making sure that traditionally underserved people are also included. Classes & camps include all ages fro6m toddlers to adults and everyone in between. During the pandemic AGTV was created to bring art to people at home without charge.
