Stand Down events are designed to provide homeless Veterans access to community resources in a single location.
VA staff, community providers and volunteers provide food, clothing and health screenings, referrals for health care, available housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, mental health counseling and other essential services.
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, there are about 131,000 homeless veterans on the street on any given night. Our Veterans are in crisis and it is up to each one of us to give back to those who have sacrificed so much.
Please consider donating to enable us to purchase much needed socks and scarves to distribute to those in need.
$80 dollars buys 72 pairs of socks
$15 Dollars buys a warm knitted scarf
or consider dropping off new scarves or socks at our clinic at 1044 West Drake Road, Suite 202 in Fort Collins. 9-5 Monday-Thursday, or 9-3 Fridays.
