ECPAC helps families access resources, including basic needs for their family to be stable and successful. After being unhoused for a year, this Adams County family now has a roof over their heads. Housing systems can be very difficult to navigate and there's rarely a quick solution. The specific application that ECPAC supported this family to submit was completed more than 6 months prior (and required ECPAC staff to complete several days' of training to be able to do so). We are thrilled to now be working with the family to fill the home with items such beds and toys - ensuring that they are surviving, but thriving.
"It was a long journey but I did it with the support of ECPAC. I don't know if I would have made it without their support. We now have a place to call home. I am so proud of myself! Don't be afraid to ask for help."
ECPAC supports people who want to open an early care and education program - thereby increasing the availability of hiqh-quality childcare so families can work, and children can experience enriching learning environments. |
"Opening my in-home daycare wasn’t just a professional goal—it was the realization of a heartfelt dream, built on love, family, and a deep connection to my community..a place where children could feel safe, supported, and celebrated for who they are. That dream became a reality in the summer of 2023 when I opened [my program].....
I’m deeply thankful for the unwavering support of Early Childhood Partnership of Adams County. [The] coaches have offered guidance, mentorship, and support at every turn—whether through a quick phone call, a late-night text, or a weekend email. Their dedication and belief in me has been immeasurable. To the amazing women who answered every question with patience and grace—thank you. Your support helped bring this dream to life.
Today, [my program] is more than a daycare. It’s a home where children laugh, learn, and grow. It’s a place built on heart, history, and a whole lot of joy."
ECPAC facilitates parenting classes and groups for families to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support their children's healthy development and best prepare them for kindergarten. Topics include early literacy and social emotional development - two areas where children are most likely to arrive to kindergarten not meeting developmental milestones. |
"Just the sense of community that ECPAC offers and the support that I have received. Everyone has been so welcoming and accepting. I love how I feel and how comfortable I feel talking to everyone that works for ECPAC and also all the mom's I have met. The classes have also changed my life feeling more confident as a mom."
ECPAC additionally offers a variety classes for families who are pregnant or have recently delivered to help support children to have the best start to life! |
ECPAC supports Early Care and Education programs by providing coaching to support programs in meeting their quality care goals, early childhood mental health consultation to help programs deliver rich socially emotionally rich environments and address children's behaviors that might be challenging, support to family childcare homes (licensed, wanting to become licensed, and licensed-exempt) to have accesses to needed resources and information to successfully run their business, and career navigation to help ECE professionals meet their career goals.
ECPAC worked with Denver's Early Childhood Council to host an annual Early Childhood Educator Career Fair to recruit more professionals to work in ECE programs to address the workforce shortage - creating closed classrooms due to lack of staff - thereby less availability of childcare for families. The Career Fair was attended by 66 High School students and 40 adults with 5 total languages spoken. Thirty-six (36) ECE programs/support organizations were able to have the opportunity to recruit staff.
"It was great to talk with so many excited candidates - I particularly enjoyed the energy the high school students brought to the event! It made me feel hopeful for the future of this field, which can be rare these days."
ECPAC supports parents in what they identify as most needed. ECPAC worked. with a mom with an intellectual disability who felt challenged with new milestones such as her daughter beginning preschool and needing to ride the bus since mom doesn't drive. ECPAC staff met them at the bus stop several mornings and afternoons until everyone was comfortable with the process. |
"ECPAC helps me to be a strong independent mom learning to take good care of my daughter. They have been in my daughter's life since she was born. It's like ECPAC is family. Every beginner parent needs help. Step by step they are there to give clothes, food, and advice. I am glad I met you, you're the best and a friend and a sister. I'm glad my daughter met you."
ECPAC supports families to be leaders in their community to help impact change, including sharing resources about mental health. | |
