Year 2 Update
Building More Than Riders: Investing in Mentorship Through Mountain Experiences
As we enter our third year, our focus is not simply on serving more students, it is on strengthening the quality and sustainability of the mentorship experience.
Research consistently shows that one caring adult can change the trajectory of a young person's life. That's why this year Unified Shredders is investing in mentor recruitment, training, and development to ensure every student has access to meaningful, consistent support both on and off the mountain.
Your support helps provide:
- Transportation for rural youth to mentoring activities and mountain experiences
- Professional mentor training and development
- Snowboarding equipment, winter clothing, and safety gear
- Monthly mentoring sessions focused on goal setting, resilience, and personal growth
- Community service and leadership opportunities that help students give back to Grand County
- Lift tickets, lessons, meals, and mountain experiences at no cost to participating families
Unified Shredders isn't just about riding, it's about belonging.
For many of our students, Unified Shredders provides more than access to snow sports it provides connection, encouragement, and a trusted adult who believes in them.
Every donation helps remove barriers and create opportunities for local youth to grow, belong, and thrive.
Whether you give $25 or $2,500, you are helping build a community where every young person has the support they need to reach their potential.
Let's ride further together!
