Unified Shredders Is Growing and We Need Your Help!
This season is shaping up to be our biggest yet! We had 40 student referred and are looking forward to serving 20 students this year to ride, learn and grow through our snowboarding/skiing and mentoring programs.
That is twice as many students hitting the slopes, building confidence, and discovering their potential, but also means we need your help to keep up with the demand.
Your donations make it possible for us to:
- Provide gear so every student can ride safely and comfortably
- Offer healthy snacks and warm meals on program days.
- Expand our mentorship programming to support more youth both on and off the mountain.
- Sustain and strengthen our staff and operations as we grow.
Every dollar helps ensure that all kids, regardless or background or income can experience the joy and empowerment of snowboarding and community.
Donate today and be part of this movement to expand opportunity, mentorship and mountain stoke for Colorado youth.
From 5 to 20: Expanding Access to the Mountain
Last winter, Unified Shredders launched its first full season, bringing together five students from West Grand High School with local mentors to learn snowboarding, build confidence, and find community on the mountain. What started as a pilot grew into something powerful: students who never strapped into a board before became regulars at Winter Park, supported by volunteer coaches who show up week after week to ride, listen, and believe in them.
This year, we're ready to grow.
In 2025, Unified Shredders will triple its reach, serving 20 students from West Grand School District, expanding our programming to both snowboarding and skiing in grades 7-12, and growing our mentor team to make sure every rider has someone in their corner.
But to do that, we need your help.
We're fundraising to provide:
- Reliable transportation for our rural students.
- Winter gear like jackets, pants, gloves and goggles to ensure every participant is equipped for success.
- Mentor training and support to strengthen the long term impact on students.
- Community events to give back to Grand County.
Unified Shredders isn't just about riding, it's about belonging.
Our mission to create access to outdoor adventure for underserved youth while fostering connection, leadership and resilience through mentorship and mountain time. Your donation helps make that possible.
Whether you give $25 or $500, you are helping a young person experience what it means to be seen, supported and stoked on something new.
Let's ride further together!
