Unified Shredders is On Snow!
Program Update: Unified Shredders is Thriving - Help Us Grow!
Unified Shredders has been made incredible progress this season! So far, our participants have completed three mentorship check-ins and spent three full days on snow at Winter Park Resort. Through structured mentorship and guided snowboarding instruction, our youth are rapidly building resilience, confidence, and technical skills on and off the mountain.
We've already seen huge growth - students who started the season hesitant are now tackling new challenge with excitement. They are pushing themselves, learning perseverance, and supporting one another as they take on the mountain. Their progress in snowboarding mirrors the personal growth we aim to foster, proving that this program is making a lasting impact.
As we look ahead, we want to expand our programming next year to reach even more youth who otherwise wouldn't have access to this life-changing experience. But we need your help! Additional funding will allow us to increase the number of students served, add more on-snow days, and continue providing essential mentorship opportunities.
Your support makes all the difference! Donate today and help us shred barriers and build futures.
From 5 to 20: Expanding Access to the Mountain
Last winter, Unified Shredders launched its first full season, bringing together five students from West Grand High School with local mentors to learn snowboarding, build confidence, and find community on the mountain. What started as a pilot grew into something powerful: students who never strapped into a board before became regulars at Winter Park, supported by volunteer coaches who show up week after week to ride, listen, and believe in them.
This year, we're ready to grow.
In 2025, Unified Shredders will triple its reach, with the goal of serving 20 students from West Grand and East Grand School Districts, expanding our programming to both snowboarding and skiing in grades 7-12, and growing our mentor team to make sure every rider has someone in their corner.
But to do that, we need your help.
We're fundraising to provide:
- Reliable transportation for our rural students.
- Winter gear like jackets, pants, gloves and goggles to ensure every participant is equipped for success.
- Mentor training and support to strengthen the long term impact on students.
- Community events to give back to Grand County.
Unified Shredders isn't just about riding, it's about belonging.
Our mission to create access to outdoor adventure for underserved youth while fostering connection, leadership and resilience through mentorship and mountain time. Your donation helps make that possible.
Whether you give $25 or $500, you are helping a young person experience what it means to be seen, supported and stoked on something new.
Let's ride further together!
