The Endowment Fund for Turner Syndrome was established by Turner Syndrome Colorado in 2022 to ensure the continuity of the eXtraOrdinary Kids Turner Syndrome Clinic and its related Turner syndrome work.
Specifically, the purpose of the Fund is: Subject to any limitations indicated elsewhere in this Agreement, the purpose of the Fund is to support the eXtraOrdinary Kids Turner Syndrome Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado including costs to coordinate patient care, train interdisciplinary specialists, improve resources, and conduct research relevant to the health and wellbeing of the Turner Syndrome community. The Section Head of Endocrinology of Children’s Hospital Colorado is responsible for oversight of spending of funds.
Currently, it falls to the community of patient families to fundraise to support the community cost of the TS Clinic. A fully funded endowment fund of $600,000 or more will return $30,000 or more to the Clinic annually, reducing the financial burden on families.
