I have been singing for as long as I can remember. Music is almost always around me. As the mother of a toddler, we sing at home all the time. As a music teacher, I sing for my livelihood. But Kantorei is where my bucket gets filled. I sing with Kantorei because of the joy and impact we make as an organization. Every week, no matter how I am feeling before rehearsal, I leave rehearsal energized and with my heart completely full. I know from talking to our audiences that this joy permeates in our concerts. 

This world can be challenging. Kantorei truly helps. Not only through performing joyful, meaningful, purposeful music; but by focusing efforts both locally and globally to create lasting musical excellence and community that truly elevates the human experience. Through your donations, Kantorei has been able to

• Create an annual classroom grant to help music teachers in Colorado get what they need to teach the next generation of musicians.
• Create an annual scholarship to support future choral educators.
• Commission new music by living composers to further the choral art--including a focus on composers from under represented communities.
• Partner with and provide support for Vocalis, a growing choir in Guatemala providing choral education and experiences in a country where it the arts are not as well supported.
• Put on 4 concert cycles and 10-12 concerts per year showcasing musical excellence, community, and JOY in the Denver metro area.

Most recently, we have recorded an album of brand new works by Christopher Tin which will be released on November 7th! The composer describes it as containing "two distinct choral works (Song Offerings and Transfigurations), joyously celebrating communal love, peace, cosmic spirituality and transcendence."
