Join us in collecting blankets for children on Colorado Gives Day! Let's give back to the Colorado Community!

Denver is more than our home; it's where Up with People builds a community of changemakers every day. Colorado Gives allows us to show our gratitude and give back to our city.

Why blankets?

In line with Mayor Mike Johnston's initiative, we collect blankets because:

1. Blankets are a high-priority item at shelters.
2. Blankets are useful for warmth but are also items of comfort for children in difficult situations.

Our mission for Colorado Gives 2023 is clear: to spread warmth and comfort to children in shelters, foster care, and hospitals. Together, through your donations and partnerships, we will make Colorado a warmer, better place.

Where the blankets will be donated?

The blankets will be sent to the Children’s Hospital Colorado, homeless shelters for mothers and children and temporary facilities for children.

How to help:

1. Drop off blankets: You can drop off blankets every Tuesday from 10-2pm at our office location: 6800 Broadway, Suite 106 Denver, Colorado  80221, USA. For donations outside of these hours, please contact us at info@upwithpeople.org.
2. Partner with us: Help us expand the reach of this campaign by setting up a collection box at your own home or business location. Email us at info@upwithpeople.org to get started!
3. Donate funds: If you prefer, you can donate money, and we will use it to purchase brand new blankets on your behalf. Please, click the donate button above. 

Blanket Requirements

Please donate only new fleece blankets, or consider making a difference by creating no-sew fleece blankets using the downloadable instructions. 

Collection Dates:

This initiative starts on October 10! Everyday drop-off at our office location will be available during the week of November 27th to December 1st, and we will hand-deliver all the blankets to our partner organizations on Colorado Gives Day, December 5th, 2023.
