We believe that equitable food security is a basic human right, and St. George is a vital lifeline for food security in a region designated as a USDA "food desert." Thanks to the generous support of our donors, St. George was able to serve 12,000 community meals last year and welcomed more than 15,000 visits to our food pantry — a testament to our unwavering commitment to feeding Lake County and the surrounding area. We distributed more than 500,000 pounds of food last year, helping to bring stability and hope to more than 2000 individuals, many of whom are new to our community.
For more than 30 years, St. George has used food to build community. What began as a simple outreach, with volunteer-cooked meals, has grown into Lake County’s essential food access hub. Our programs offer barrier-free food access to everyone, regardless of age, income, religion, gender (or gender identity), and immigration or housing status.
But what truly sets us apart is what we offer beyond food:
* A welcoming space where everyone is known by name
* A community rooted in support, encouragement, and compassion
* Culturally sensitive food options that honor individual needs and preferences
Stable access to healthy, nourishing food is the cornerstone of a thriving community. Join us in creating a more food-secure Lake County — because hunger has no home here. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and fed.
* Free, hot lunches are served 4 days/week
* Free, on-site pantry is open 2 days/ week
* Free Mobile Pantry serves the community 1 day/week
