Sidewalk Poets is a nonprofit providing creative writing and storytelling workshops to underserved communities and individuals—so they can share their voices, build resilience, process pain and trauma, gain new skills and tools, feel more empowered, and enrich their neighborhoods and the city.

At Sidewalk Poets, we believe that every voice has value and that every story deserves to be told—and heard.

OUR WORK

Creative Writing + Storytelling Workshops

We provide free creative writing and storytelling workshops that empower community members to find and share their voices, build confidence and resilience, and heal together.

Word + Art Installations

Using words and images from workshops, we publicly showcase personal and collective stories to leave behind echoes that enrich and infuse the community with collective voice, history and art.
