Hi, we're Sean and Charles. As many of you know, we've been foster parents since 2019. Our foster son has been with us for the past 3.5 years.
Our foster son has many strengths (friendly, goofy, sporty, caring) and some challenges (big feelings, from a hard place).
We couldn't do what we do as foster parents without the Jacob Center. Here's how the team has saved us:
- They show up when we're in crisis – always calm and grounded
- The coaching team spends many hours each week with our son 1:1 to help him have fun, learn new skills, and give us a break
- They teach us new skills and help us create positive change for our family, and so many youth and families in our community
