Support Early Literacy + Connected Families in CO!

Reach Out and Read Colorado is an evidenced-based, early literacy nonprofit based in Denver, serving nearly 150,000 Colorado kids, that gives these kids a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together.  

Reading has always been a passion of mine. Encouraging children to read at a young age helps with cognitive development, increased vocabulary, parent-child bonding, and fostering empathy. I am lucky to serve on the board of a great not-for-profit organization, Reach out and Read Colorado, which works to give young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together.

Your donation will help support Reach Out and Read Colorado as we partner with pediatricians throughout the state to 'prescribe' high quality books and provide guidance for parents/caregivers at more than 290,000 well-child visits this year. 

Reach Out and Read Colorado’s program not only provides underserved families with books to build home libraries, but it also promotes learning and skill building for both parents and children. The simple act of unplugging and reading a book together is proven to increase brain and language development, create strong parent-child connections, and improve kindergarten readiness— And when a child is set up for success from an early age, the possibilities and opportunities are endless!
