I was fortunate enough to grow up in a home that was filled with books. My mother knew the importance of reading to kids at an early age. Now my favorite part of each day as a mom is snuggling my three (soon to be 4) kids in my lap and reading them multiple bedtime stories. Unfortunately for so many children, this simple, yet incredibly impactful practice of a daily reading habit is not a reality.
This Colorado Give Day join me in supporting Reach Out and Read Colorado and the families they serve. Reach Out and Read Colorado works together with local pediatricians to give books and discuss the importance of reading aloud at regular well-child visits.
