Bringing Supportive Care to People with Cancer

Imagine living alone and undergoing cancer treatments and having to rely on friends, family, neighbors and colleagues for meals, transportation to treatment (which could be located miles from your home), doctor appointments, the pharmacy, and the grocery store. We know that emotional and social support are critical to people with cancer. Cancer Support Community’s programming is designed to ensure that people who are facing a cancer diagnosis, as well as their families, can build community and achieve decreased distress and depression, isolation, and increased healthy lifestyle habits. Cancer Support Community has worked diligently to build an organization that can augment medical care, and reduce our cancer community's reliance on its resources. Please help Jim and Toni support Cancer Support Community's programs which are addressing the loss of control, hopelessness, and social isolation that people with cancer are facing in our rural communities of Southwest Colorado.
