“Colorado Pet Pantry is my favorite charity. Helping animals is one of my main priorities, alongside food insecurity, so I was thrilled to find a charity that combines both of those goals. And even more thrilled because Colorado Pet Pantry’s work focuses on root problems — it helps to keep pets out of shelters by providing critical resources so pets stay with their families. As a longtime dog mom to rescues, helping keep pets home is so important — and, the greatest way possible to honor my two soul dogs.”

Q and Rilke’s Mom, Jana, owner of Denver Graffiti Tour, has been inspired to double her impact this year by offering a $5,000 donation match for Colorado Pet Pantry in memory of her beloved furry friends. We have one week to unlock these funds, but we need your help! 

Colorado Gives Day is unique to this state, and since launching in 2010, Coloradans have donated $469 million to thousands of nonprofits statewide. #GiveWhereYouLive illustrates how the various communities that make up Colorado can work together for one common goal: To make Colorado the BEST place to live. Colorado Pet Pantry believes pets are family. Over the course of a pet’s life, many people may experience hardships, but those challenges shouldn’t mean that a pet family cannot stay together.

This year, I am fundraising for Colorado Pet Pantry, because I believe that pets and people deserve to stick together.

For Colorado Pet Pantry, this year marks 11 years of helping Colorado’s pets stay with their families, through more than 100 monthly statewide pet food pantries.

Because most of the pet food they distribute is donated, they’re able to feed a dog or cat for only $5 per month. Colorado Pet Pantry has developed an efficient distribution system, leveraging more than 1000 volunteers, so they can keep the cost of feeding pets low, even at a time when price increases are causing expenses to continue upward.

Your donation not only allows pets to stay with their people, but also gives relief to our state’s hard-working animal shelters and rescues, by keeping loved pets in their homes.
