El Sistema Colorado is on a mission to create equal access to the arts by leveling the paying field in the world of classical music. We do this by providing free, daily music education and instruments to students throughout Denver.
Many schools in Denver no longer have music programs, let along string orchestra programs. Did you know that the standard cost of a private music lesson in Denver ranges from $50 - $100? This price-tag doesn't even include the cost of an instrument.
The orchestra is a community of belonging where everyone from all languages and backgrounds are welcome to create beautiful music together. Learning an instrument supports the development of children and gives them the opportunity to share something that they are proud of with their families, community and the world.
