Thank you for considering joining our community by donating your support!  If you'd like to learn more about how you can support our teams, please contact us.

Durango Winter Sports Club (DWSC) is home to the Alpine, Freestyle, Freeride, and Snowboard teams as well as the Gromlins development program.  The team directors are our only paid administrative staff.  The Board of Directors serves in a large volunteer capacity (off-setting what would be Executive Director expenses) in an effort to allow directors to focus on their athletes and program operation.

The Scholarship and Support Program helps ensure that the many costs involved with winter sports do not act as a limiting factor to an athlete’s entry or continued participation in the sport of competitive skiing and snowboarding.

DWSC is raising funds to provide more scholarships and support to our athletes.  For the 2023-2024 season alone, DWSC has provided over $27,000 in tuition scholarships across 32 athletes.  We aim to raise $3500 in our first ever CO Gives Day Campaign.  This would fund approximately 3-5 athletes through our fall tuition scholarship program, or support travel for athletes this spring in reaching competitive events or camps as they pursue excellence in their sport.

With your donation, we can - every bit helps!

SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION SUBSIDIES ADE POSSIBLE BY OUR SPONSORS AND DONORS

We are grateful to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and in-kind supporters who help subsidize the overall cost of our programs by about 10% for all athletes.  In other words, a program that would normally cost $1000 costs $900 because of this generous support.  We recognize that this is not enough for some families and reserve approximately 10% of budgeted tuition revenue to go towards providing up to 90% tuition assistance to scholarship applicants demonstrating financial need.
