The Pueblo Youth Action Council was established by Caring for Colorado's Packard Fund for Pueblo in 2021 to promote community engagement and leadership among Pueblo youth. Students involved in Pueblo Youth Action Council learn about philanthropy and local issues by managing their own grant cycle over the course of the school year. Students raise funds for nonprofits addressing community issues that they have prioritized. 100% of funds raised by students will go directly to nonprofits. The Pueblo Youth Action Council is a collaboration of the Packard Fund for Pueblo and YouthRoots, a national youth philanthropy organization.
