Update 08/07/2025 - 🧀🐰 Cheddar’s Next Battle 🐰🧀

Our brave bun Cheddar has been through the grater fight of his life. He’s recovering from emergency liver lobe torsion surgery 🏥 — but that’s not his only challenge.

Cheddar has a severe ear abscess infection that requires weekly surgical cleanings and the infection will require that half of his ear will need to be amputated once his liver is strong enough for another surgery.

He arrived in our care under circumstances we can't fully share — but what we can say is that his story is one of quiet resilience and survival. His first battle when he arrived was an ear abscess that required weekly surgeries to drain. Now, he’s facing another battle. Cheddar was rushed to the vet after showing signs of being unwell. Imaging revealed a dangerous issue with his liver — a twisted, enlarged lobe that must be removed *immediately* to save his life. He’s is recovering from emergency surgery, and the costs are stacking up fast.
