Amigos de la Academia Sandoval

Did you know that Sandoval does not receive sufficient funding from Denver Public Schools to support Sandoval's Montessori and dual-language model? Amigos raises approximately $120,000 each year to support Montessori certifications, paraprofessional salaries, field trips, Latino cultural events, and more.

Mission

The mission of this parent led 501c3 is to raise funds to bridge the gap between what Sandoval needs and what Denver Public Schools provides to support our unique Montessori dual-language curriculum for an economically and socially diverse student population in northwest Denver.

Background Statement

Amigos is a group of parent volunteers who serve the students, teachers, staff, and community of Academia Ana Marie Sandoval. In the last 15 years Amigos has raised over $1,900,000 to support Sandoval, including contributions from our school community, local businesses, and grants. 

We value events that contribute to strengthening our community and, at the same time, closing the funding gap between what our unique program requires and the funding provided.
