Support Mission Arvada's Access Campaign!

We urgently need your help to replace three aging stair lifts at our facility. Each new stair lift costs $6,800, but the impact they'll have on our disabled clients is priceless. 

Our current stair lifts have been out of commission for over a year, leaving many of our clients with disabilities or mobility issues struggling to access vital services. These outdated lifts are beyond repair, with discontinued parts making maintenance impossible. 

Mission Arvada serves a diverse community, with 87% of our clients reporting a disabling condition. For many disabled and elderly individuals, access to our day shelter and supportive services is essential for daily living. Currently, we have four clients in wheelchairs and numerous others using walkers or canes, representing approximately 3-5% of our daily attendees. 

With new stair lifts in place, we can ensure equal access for all our clients. This means they can enjoy hot meals, take showers, do laundry, and access essential items from our food pantry with ease. Additionally, improved accessibility will facilitate interactions with onsite medical and dental providers, assistance with food stamp and Medicaid enrollment, mental health services, employment support, and housing navigation.
