National Ski Patrol was founded in Colorado in 1938 and continues to be headquartered here. Our roots, history, and largest concentration of patrollers are in Colorado, but the training, education, and certification programs we provide support ski and bike patrollers across the entire country.

On Colorado Gives Day 2025, we’re raising funds to strengthen patroller training both here at home and nationwide. Your gift directly supports the education and readiness of the patrollers who respond first when someone is injured on the mountain - on snow, on trails, in the backcountry, and in our communities.

Support helps Colorado’s patrollers, including those serving resorts across the Rockies, and also fuels the national programs that keep more than 30,000 professional and volunteer patrollers trained, certified, and prepared. These resources include Outdoor Emergency Care training, avalanche education, bike patrol readiness, leadership development, and the tools patrollers need to respond safely and effectively.

Your gift helps us reach our $25,000 Colorado Gives Day goal, contributing to our larger $100,000 annual fund to support patroller education, training, and certification across the country.

Thank you for helping keep Colorado, and the nation’s mountains safe.
