There are many questions surrounding the cause, transmission and how mange affects wildlife. What we do know is that letting nature take its course is not an option. We would not allow a domestic canine to suffer from mange, the same moral code should be applied to wild canines.
This fundraiser is to support our wild canine neighbors and concerned citizens by providing both the required tools, education and on the ground support for healing and peaceful coexistence.
It costs $100 to support and treat a 20-30 pound wild canine in addition to the endless hours, days, weeks even months spent monitoring them.
Additionally we are working on charting the urban areas these animals with mange come from and are documenting common denominators; urban, open space, agriculture, golf courses, ranches, gated communities etc. targeting specific areas and their use of rodenticides.
Our Goal is to help these animals recover, whatever it takes, so that they are able to live their best wild lives.
