Last year, I wrote and starred in a new play I never could have imagined possible before founding artistic director Pesha Rudnick saw a series of essays I wrote and politely explained that I'd written a play.
That ability to see a play, right in the stage it is now -- and make a plan with the playwright to get it to its next, inevitable stage -- is exactly what Local Theater Company is designed to do and committed to doing. Local supports the playwright when they're battling the page, and supports the entire group of artists who work to get a play from the page to the stage.
