In loving memory of Lindell Lane Kottcamp

In Colorado, Lindy Kottcamp found the life she loved most: long walks with her family and dogs, open skies, and views of the plains stretching toward the mountains.

After growing up in Houston, Texas, Lindy eventually made Colorado home, living first in Aurora and later in Parker. She became a devoted mother to her three children, who were the center of her world and greatest source of pride and joy.

For more than 12 years, Lindy faced recurring brain tumors through surgeries, treatments, and long recoveries, always finding her way back to the outdoors, her dogs, and the people she loved most.

Lindy passed away on May 13, 2026. 

She is survived by her children, Cassandra, Nicholas, and Benjamin; the father of her children, Brian Kottcamp; her sisters, Merrill Davis and Allison Hill; her stepmother, Priscilla Huston; her stepsister, Kate Lambert; her stepbrother, Penn Huston; her beloved dogs, Bear and Kipper; and many extended family members and friends who will remember her warmth, humor, and love for the life she built in Colorado.

A celebration of Lindy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Millhouse at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lindy’s memory to Colorado Pet Pantry, an organization that helps families care for and keep their beloved pets.

Colorado Pet Pantry believes that pets are family members. By assisting pet owners with food and supplies, we can help prevent dogs and cats from ever ending up in a shelter. 

For Colorado Pet Pantry, this year marks 13 years of helping Colorado’s pets stay with their families, through more than 100 monthly statewide pet food pantries.

Your donation not only allows pets to stay with their people, but also gives relief to our state’s hard-working animal shelters and rescues, by keeping loved pets in their homes.
