Learn more about Gracie and Gracie's Giving Project below.
Gracie Gonchar was a happy, sparkling girl full of curiosity and love. When she was killed on March 24, 2024 while touring Boston with her family, she was just a few months away from turning 5 years old. Deep in despair and grief, her family turned the loss of Gracie into something that could be magical and transformative for communities with the founding of Gracie’s Giving Project. With a mission focused on making children happy & advocating for pedestrian safety across communities, the family is turning their grief into a space of community building and love.
With that, Gracie’s Giving Project has become an official charity partner of the 2025 Colfax Marathon Weekend. The Colfax Marathon - itself a nonprofit organization - aims to help groups like us raise money with no strings attached…every dollar raised will come back to Gracie’s Giving Project and work to support our communities in Denver and beyond. We are beyond thankful for every runner, walker and supporter that has signed up to help raise funds for us and we are looking to make this our biggest fundraiser of the year. Thank you for supporting Gracie’s legacy and for understanding the importance of getting this organization into a great place to make change in the future.
