Dear Friend,

Food insecurity is a growing concern, affecting countless community members, including Lamar Community College students. Despite their eagerness to learn and improve their lives, many community college students need help to make ends meet and find it increasingly challenging to afford nutritious meals. A food instability survey completed for 2022 – 2023 showed approximately 52% of Lamar Community College students experienced food instability in some form. This unfortunate reality severely impacts their physical and mental well-being and hampers their academic performance.

Understanding the magnitude of this issue, Lamar Community College has established a food pantry on campus to address our students' needs. The pantry aims to provide a reliable source of affordable, nutritious food to help our students focus on their studies without worrying about hunger.

You can make a difference today!

Your generous contribution helps us sustain and expand our food pantry. We will use your funds to purchase fresh produce, non-perishable items, and essential supplies.

Your compassion helps ensure that no student goes hungry or faces additional barriers to their education due to food insecurity.

Together, we can ensure no LCC student goes hungry.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community!

With heartfelt appreciation and warm regards,

Dr. Rosana Reyes

President
