La Fresca (fiscally sponsored by CCW)

Center for Community Wealth (CCW) is proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor of La Fresca, a community-led initiative rooted in the neighborhoods of Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea, with a mission to support local corner stores and food-based businesses. La Fresca's goals are to strengthen the neighborhood economy, foster growth for local enterprises, and build a connected network of food-focused entrepreneurs. La Fresca is led entirely by local residents, who are guided by the values of community accountability, economic self-determination, and creating pathways for local businesses to thrive.

By supporting La Fresca, you are adding to the economic vibrancy of these three neighborhoods, helping residents achieve sovereignty over their food system, and helping to build a local economy that works for all.

La Fresca's all-volunteer team has chosen to devote all of their energy to achieving their important neighborhood economic development and food justice goals, and has thus decided not to become its own tax-exempt nonprofit organization. To support La Fresca's resident leaders, CCW has agreed to serve as the organization's fiscal sponsor, meaning CCW is responsible for administering La Fresca's financial affairs and ensuring it is in compliance with legal and accounting requirements. Because CCW is a tax-exempt nonprofit recognized by the IRS and the State of Colorado, your donation to this Colorado Gives site in support of La Fresca is tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
