WOW! Children’s Museum is committed to making the Museum accessible to ALL children in the community, regardless of financial constraints. Our donor-supported Play for All Initiative is offered in partnership with the Association of Children’s Museum’s “Museums for All” program. Play for All supports over 6,000 visitors each year and is the backbone of our museum in many ways. Our Play For All initiative breaks down barriers to access and invites all children to explore science, math, health and so much more through experimentation and creativity. WOW! is a thought leader in informal early childhood education in our community. Play is the work of the child, and we recognize that hands-on, learner-driven experiences are critical for healthy development.
Play for All:
- Provides $10 memberships to families receiving some form of public assistance.
- Supports schools with a high percentage of children in the free and reduced lunch program by providing discounted field trips and outreach visits for their classrooms.
- Supports families of children with autism or sensory processing disorders by providing $1 admission to our Sensory Friendly Playtime events.
- Offers events throughout the year at $1 including Kindergarten Readiness and Girls in Science.

We believe children learn through play and all children are entitled to welcoming, safe opportunities for learning. At WOW! learning is a blend of arts, culture, humanities, and science all wrapped into a museum floor that is open-ended with opportunities for children to explore on their own and with their caregivers. STEM-based educational opportunities should not be exclusive to only those with resources or to whom these experiences are normally available.
