What’s better than an 8-week STEM and Workforce Development robotics program that’s FREE to schools? It’s the best of the BEST teams getting an opportunity for even more fun and excitement by attending the Denver BEST Regional Championship at the Denver Coliseum!

Rocky Mountain BEST, a non-profit Hub that exists primarily on donations, is the host of the Denver BEST Regional Championship. RM BEST is excited to be hosting the 2023 Championship at the Denver Coliseum this year.  Our Hub needs your support to provide this opportunity to these amazing students.

The top teams across the country are invited to one of the BEST Regional Championships. This year the Denver BEST Regional Championship is inviting the top 25 teams from 8 separate Hub events to go to the next level in their team’s development by improving their Engineering Notebooks and robots. Thirteen of these teams are BEST Award teams with a Marketing Presentation, Team Exhibit & Interviews, and Spirit & Sportsmanship.

What our students are saying about BEST:

  • 89% say BEST improved my tech, business, communication skills
  • 85% say BEST increased my interest in STEM careers
  • I acquired these new skills: 76% teamwork; 65% creativity, 59% problem-solving; 56% Innovation/Invention
  • Participation influenced me to consider pursuing a career in: Engineering (71%), Computer Science (37%), Sciences (34%), and Mathematics (33%)
  • I worked my hardest for six weeks building a robot, I got my butt kicked competing with it and lost, and I am a happy man because now I feel actually qualified to build another one! - T. Garcia
  • What do you get when you take fifteen troubled adolescent males with little to none experience in robotics, and then set them off for six weeks with two tubs of materials to make a functioning robot for competition purposes? You get chaos. You get distrust, anger, and bickering- but what else? For us, we developed the beginning threads of trust, some inside jokes, and reconciliation. We also got an absolute juggernaut robot that blew everyone away- including its creators. - Cassidy R
