Background Statement - As a Colorado Springs police officer for over 14 years Jake Skifstad experienced first-hand the needs that street officers and first responders face every day. The lack of appropriate protective gear led him to find his true calling and passion by founding SHIELD616.SHIELD616 was founded to provide all-day rifle protection for first responders who sacrificially serve our communities. Jake's passion is a calling to meet the needs of each agency by using his voice, experiences and wisdom to bring attention to these needs and funding them.
