Mirror Image Arts is disrupting the school to prison pipeline through interactive theatre programs that develop social emotional skills and build trusted relationships with youth. Research shows that a trusted adult and developmental relationships are linked to statistically significant higher levels of social-emotional skill (SES) development. 

Our programming works with and for young people in schools and juvenile detention centers. We work to build moments where social-emotional growth can happen and where young people can express themselves and their emotions through creativity, imagination, problem-solving, and play. Our methodology offers a space where young people can process challenges they experience and work toward solutions. Youth can explore who they are and want to be and can practice being that person – being ready for real-life.

Together, we can help young people RECLAIM for themselves the rights, opportunities, privileges, and possibilities that others have denied them.
