This year, KidsPak has reached an all-time high in bag requests, with 673 youth receiving food last week. When a local family reaches out to KidsPak for support, fulfilling their request feels very urgent. We understand that many families are one illness or car repair away from the edge.
And yet, KidsPak does have a limit to our resources. KidsPak works hard to provide services to all who request them. This year, we have increased our space and volunteer capabilities, and now we are asking you to help us fund this important work.
KidsPak provides the following services:
Weekend Food Bags Sent home on Friday through schools and local partners, we provide 6 meals to help bridge the weekend gap that some students experience.
High School Food Pantry This newly expanded program uses a model that was successfully piloted last year. KidsPak provides increased anonymity, teen curated food selections, and the knowledge that teens can accept help without stigma. KidsPak is adding two new sites in January, with 2 others on hold as we await funding to become available. (This is where YOU can help!)
Summer Food Bags The summer distribution pivots away from schools and toward extended community partners, including Loveland Housing Authority and the Food Bank for Larimer County.
Join us in meeting one of the basic needs for youth in our community. Every gift, large or small, helps feed a child.
