The opportunity to own a home in Eagle County is nearly unattainable as home prices doubled (the average sale price for a home in 2022 was $2.4 million). Even people who earn a good living — teachers, law enforcement officers, firefighters, tradespeople — struggle to afford a home to purchase. Between 2022 and 2024, we have set the aspirational goal of building 46 homeownership opportunities— twice the annual on-average number.
