Revitalizing Josephine Common’s Gardens

Josephine Commons is an affordable housing site for seniors aged 55 and older. It features a community garden that includes several raised beds. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church has generously volunteered to help by pulling weeds around the garden beds and keeping the pathways clear. They have also offered to organize a fundraiser for additional raised beds, repair the existing beds, and add concrete around the beds to make the area more accessible for our seniors. We believe these improvements will enhance accessibility and allow our residents to continue the joy of gardening as they age in place.  This encourages a multigenerational garden community decreasing isolation and increasing connection for all ages.
