Hospice Care
Everyone deserves the opportunity to die at home surrounded by loved ones and professional, loving care givers. At Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice that is what we have done for families in Jefferson, Clear Creek, Gilpin and Park Counties for over 40 years. We are committed to meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and given a prognosis of six months or less to live. The focus of treatment is on comfort care and maximizing the quality of life.
Each patient and their family are cared for by doctors, registered nurses, chaplains, social workers and certified nursing assistants. A dedicated team of volunteers also provide companionship and respite care. Care is provided in the place the patient calls home, whether that be a house, skilled nursing facility or assisted living center.
Insurance does not cover all costs of delivering hospice care. Donations cover the gaps so that regardless of insurance coverage or where patients live, we can serve all in need.
