Help HKS & WPM Purchase Food for Canstruction CO

We need your help fundraising to purchase canned food for Canstruction Colorado with We Don't Waste! We will be using the canned food to create a massive sculpture for display in Cherry Creek Shopping Center from October 6th through November 2nd. Canstruction Colorado brings awareness to the issue of local food insecurity through these massive sculptures. After the competition is over, all of this canned food—tens of thousands of servings of it—are donated to We Don't Waste for distribution in our community.

About the event host, We Don't Waste

We Don't Waste works to reduce hunger and food waste in the Denver area by recovering quality, unused food from the food industry and delivering it to nonprofit partners, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools and daycare programs, and more. Since 2009, We Don't Waste has recovered and distributed more than 240,000,000 servings of food!

Hunger is a huge problem in our community. As many as 1 in 7 Coloradans are experiencing food insecurity - and the rate is even higher for people of color and households with children. Despite this, 40%, yes FORTY percent, of food produced in the United States ends up in the landfill. We can change this together! Help me by joining in and showing your support for We Don't Waste.

• We Don't Waste recovered 24+ million servings of food
• Supported 111 local nonprofits and their food programs with no-cost food distribution
