You’re busy, so here's the need:

For 2026, we need to raise $250,000 to unlock regular access to nature and nature’s benefits for 8,000+ students and 375+ teachers in 16 U.S. schools in the 2026–2027 school year while sowing seeds to reach 140,000 students in the U.S. and 3,500 teachers by 2030. We're asking you — our community — to donate $22,400 by December 31st to support more schools' participation in the Good Natured Partnership and to strengthen the core systems that make this work possible.

What will we do with your money?

We aim to implement Good Natured Partnerships with as many schools as possible, aiming for 16 in 2026–2027! Your support helps make this possible while also supporting the organizational capacity needed to deliver this work well.

This is just ~$11,200 per school for a full year of professional development. We ask schools to contribute what they can; your support eases the financial strain for schools so we don't have to turn anyone away and helps sustain the backbone systems that keep our programs strong.

Our Good Natured Partnerships:

  • Make it so students and teachers feel better, learn better, and connect with the planet just by going to school.
  • Equip educators to integrate apple-a-day nature connections into everyday teaching
  • Build in-house capacity in each school so nature-based learning becomes a lasting part of school culture

Your gift supports school partnerships and the essential infrastructure behind them, growing educator and student wellbeing, learning improvements, and a healthier future for our planet. Not bad! As a nonprofit working both in the U.S. and globally (in Kenya, so far!), we allocate a portion of gifts to our greatest needs and organizational capacity so that our work -- and impact -- can succeed and scale sustainably.

Why does this matter?

There is a growing mountain of evidence demonstrating a causal relationship between nature experiences and improved mental and physical health, social-emotional wellbeing, academic achievement, and environmental stewardship

How do we know it works?

We’ve worked with over 500 educators from rural, suburban, and urban schools on two continents. The results? Improved teacher and student wellbeing, better learning, and a growing love for nature.

Your donation & support makes this possible:

1) Contribute: Donate in a way and amount that works for you.

While supplies last: If you become a *new* monthly donor, CO Gives Day Foundation will match your first month's gift up to $100!

Good Natured Learning is proud to be a sponsored initiative of the Lake County Community Fund (Note: that's whose name you'll see when you donate -- don't worry, they're good for it ;).
