Community-Generated Mural

Help us bring a landmark mural to rural Gunnison, Colorado—an inspiring celebration of our community’s rich cultural heritage and commitment to a bright, inclusive future. This project will be the second in our community-driven mural series, where an experienced artistic director leads collaborative planning sessions with participants from diverse backgrounds. Guided by shared stories and ideas, the director designs a stunning artwork, outlines it on a wall, and facilitates a "paint-by-numbers" process that invites volunteers of all ages to bring the mural to life over several community paint days.

Our first mural brought together 150 participants across generations and cultures, fostering connections, sharing ideas, and creating a breathtaking piece of public art that reflects Gunnison’s cultural and creative vitality.
