Empower Colorado's young readers!

One truth I hold very dear is this: Every child is brimming with potential. Each one deserves access to a future of opportunities. 

But how far can a child go if they can’t read? Fortunately, teaching kids to read is exactly what Reading Partners does well. 

That's why I'm an avid supporter of Reading Partners. They provide an evidence-based literacy program that offers one-on-one tutoring to kids from systemically-disadvantaged communities. They also give out thousands of books every year and share resources with families to build a culture of reading outside of school. In short, they empower students to become lifelong readers. 

This is truly a community-driven effort. This school year, Reading Partners will work with 600 students in grades K-4 at schools across the Denver metro area, with the help of 800 volunteers and countless other supporters. With this support, those students will experience life-changing growth—last year, 86% of participants reached their individualized literacy growth goal. These goals are set with student success in mind; growth of this kind ensures their ability to thrive in school and beyond.
