Craig Hospital Foundation Giving Opportunity
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Craig Hospital FoundationThis is my personal invitation to make an end of year donation to the Craig Hospital Foundation.
$800
raised by 7 people
Craig Hospital is a special place. Many of my friends and family members have been impacted by the care, innovation and rehabilitation that takes place here.
If you are not familiar, Craig Hospital specializes in rehabilitation from neurologic injuries. We are one of few hospitals with this specialty in the nation. Individuals come to Craig from near and far as they transition toward their new life with a brain or spinal cord injury.
I work in the Foundation, which raises money to support patients, programs not covered by insurance, research, continuing education for staff, and more. As the Funds Manager, I can attest that donor dollars go to work immediately and in alignment with donor intent. We are currently working toward an expansion of the hospital, which will include a neuro medical unit. The NMU will receive patients much earlier in their journey (before they are ready for rehabilitation). This will have huge impact as they will be in the care of teams who specialize in neurological injury.
As you consider your year-end donations, I hope you will include Craig. Your gift means a lot to me and even more to the patients I get to serve.
If you'd like to make a gift toward a specific fund, here are some recommendations to note in your donation:
Project EQL: Donations here go directly to durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs and shower commode chairs for patients as they prepare to discharge
Neuro Medical Unit: As described above, this will be built out to get patients to Craig earlier to help prepare them for rehabilitation earlier than if they remain in another hospital.
Craig Culture of Care supports programs such as Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Community Reintegration and more, which are not covered by insurance.
Of course, you may make an unrestricted donation, which will be used to support an area of greatest need.
Lots of Love to you and yours this holiday season!
