A heartfelt thank you to our Fireside Ink community - writers who’ve come from all across Boulder County to gather around the table and share their stories. It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year. Together, we built something extraordinary.

By the numbers

In just twelve months, we have:

• Hosted 42 free drop-in writing sessions, welcoming hundreds of participants

• Taught 10 six-week workshops in memoir, fiction, and playwriting

• Shared work at 16 monthly Draft Exchanges and 2 open mic nights where emerging voices shine

• Opened our first dedicated studio at 2299 Pearl St. in Boulder

It all adds up to a community of writers who show up for one another, who listen deeply, and who prove that storytelling can heal, connect, and inspire.

Of course we want to help people become great storytellers, but our mission runs deeper. We aim to pull people out of isolation, spark healing, and build real community. 

What Your Gift Supports

• Connection through Story:

Our free Drop-In Writing Sessions draw hundreds of participants each year. Writers of all ages and backgrounds show up, grab a pen, and find their voice alongside others doing the same.

• Sharing Work, Building Confidence:

Our Happy Hour Draft Exchange Nights (pay what you can) invite writers to read work-in-progress aloud - a joyful, supportive place to test new material and celebrate creative risk.

• Deep Learning & Mentorship:

Taught by highly skilled, published authors and experienced teaching professionals, our 6-week Memoir, Fiction, Poetry, and Playwriting Workshops help emerging and established writers refine craft, build community, and share their work publicly. Scholarships and pay-what-you-can options ensure no one is turned away.

• *NEW in 2026* Storytelling for Healing: 

In partnership with local hospitals, we’re developing 2026 programs in memoir and medical trauma, helping doctors and patients use storytelling as a bridge for empathy and healing.
