First Responder Trauma Services

Every day, first responders and frontline workers face trauma that most people will never see. The weight of tragedy, loss, and danger takes a quiet but lasting toll. First Responder Trauma Services (FRTS) was founded to ensure that the people who protect and serve our communities are never left to face that burden alone.

What makes FRTS unique is that we are built by responders, for responders, our entire team has lived experience in the professions we serve. We understand the culture, the language, and the unspoken weight that comes with the badge, the radio, or the uniform.

We provide confidential, trauma-informed mental health care for Northern Colorado’s law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS providers, dispatchers, coroners and medical professionals. More than 2,800 individuals and their legal partners who rely on us for care that truly understands the realities of their work.
